Floofy Friday with Jade

Hello everyone... I am Jade and as you can tell from one of my first pictures here I'm a floofy Calico. I'm head cat here at Bamacats because I have seniority over all cats (and that dog) that are here now. As head cat, I have to make sure to take care of Mom - I've played nurse kitty when she was sick and I check on her at night making sure she is okay (she isn't always appreciative of my late night checks if I wake her). Mom's sister is coming this weekend. She gave me one of my nicknames so I'd like to know if any of you have any that you are willing to share. Mine is Princess Pretty Paws which I think is quite fitting as I should be recognized as a Princess. PURRSSSSSSSSSSSS........... Jade

Wordy White Cat Wednesday with Myst

HI!!! I'm Myst and welcome to wordy, white cat Wednesday. Mom said I needed to admit that I am not all white. I have orange stripes on my tail as well as light orange on my face and ears. Mom thinks that I have some Meezer in my family tree cause I have crossed blue eyes and my orange kind of shows up like a flame point. Anyways... I like PLAYING, looking out windows, talking to birds and bug chasing. I love to annoy... I mean play with Blackie. I don't bother Jade too much (she scares me). Would anyone like to come join my while I bird watch? Mom said the weather in Alabama has been wonderful with sunny skies & highs only in 70s or 80s so we should see a lot of birds! Blackie wants to thank everyone for the comments on his ManCat Monday post. We can't believe Mom is actually posting two times in one week. She has promised Jade & Cocoa will have their say too so hopefully you will see more from us on a more regular basis. PURRSSSSSSSSSS.......................... Myst

Mancat Monday with Blackie

Hello... Blackie here for Mancat Monday! Since we don't blog nearly enough, I should introduce myself. I am a handsome (Mom said so) fluffy black cat with very green eyes. I wandered up here and decided this was my house. I work hard to protect my peoples and keep the dog (Cocoa) in line. I love my peoples and the other cats here even if Myst gets on my nerves sometimes - the dog I only tolerate. Hopefully, Mom will start helping us blog on more regular basis. If anyone knows how we can make her let me know. Thanks... Blackie :)

Myst's Birthday

Mom's Day (and Granddaddy too)

Hi! Happy Mother's Day! I'd like to tell story about my cat mom. She was a stray that my human mom was feeding and she had 3 kittens, two fluffy ginger cats & ME! To try not to confuse anyone, when I say mom I referring to my human one & will say cat mom otherwise. Mom & a friend came down to take care of feeding strays one day and they saw that my cat mom had given birth s they started looking for kittens. They caught glimpses of two of them but then cat mom brought her over to a bush & showed her something underneath it. Can you guess what was under bush? It was ME!!! Mom picked me up & I was very scared but she took me home where Jade hissed at me. She decided that I was perfect mix of Ghost & Mia so they must have sent me to her. And that how my cat mom found me my forever home (and Jade still hisses at me). We aren't really celebrating Mother's Day so much today. Today is my Granddaddy's birthday! It is a big number for him (with zero on end) so his surprise party is this afternoon (shhh.... don' tell). Purrs ~ Myst

Hello everyone! I'm mad at Mom - she forgot my Gotcha Day that was April 17th! I've lived here for 4 years now. This is my story... I had a home but I think I must have gotten lost some way so I found an office where I took a nap. Someone spotted my belly while I napped in bushes and my Mom came out to check on me. They looked and checked to see if someone was looking for me but had no luck so then Mom took me home (she had lost Mia to the Rainbow Bridge about 6 months before). Ghost hissed & fussed at me but I didn't bother her & BG really didn't pay any attention to me. They both have gone to Bridge now too. So now I am head cat here as I have seniority over Myst & Blackie... as you can tell from my picture I am a fluffy Calico with Jade green eyes... I'm very happy that I've found my forever home...many purrs to everyone!

Twizzler

We just learned that our friend Twizzler has told his Mom that he is ready to go to Rainbow Bridge to be with his brothers Buzzerbee, Meep & Bear. We are sending our purrs to him & his family.

We've made so many friends thru our blog & seen a lot past. We miss everyone who has gone before and we try to remember the following quote:

Our human is not disposable. She may have imperfections, may have health problems, and be a lot of work. But when I got her, I promised her a forever home. No matter what her faults are, she is good at something, and deserves to be loved and have a forever home. She is not only my human, she is my family. We think Alan Jackson did excellent job with this song. Hopefully, we will never see a repeat of the tragic events anywhere in the world - we do hope that everyone remembers what happened when the world changed not only for us in USA but truly the entire world was changed as well on that September day.

In Memory Of Cathy (Beau's Mom)

Words can express how much Cathy will be missed. Her sister posted the sad news on facebook that Cathy had passed after being very sick the last few weeks. The news was quite unexpected and we would like to send out purrs to Beau, Cathy's family as well as all of our cat blogosphere family.

It's my Purrthday!!!!!

Hi, everyone!!! It is my 2nd purrthday today! I'm very excited even though Mom had to post my baby picture up. I was born to feral Momma cat that Mom was helping look after. One day, Mom was feeding the feral kitties and trying to see the kittens (cause she knew Momma cat had them) and she saw me & my two siblings hiding in bushes. Momma cat decided that Mom would take care of me so she took me out from hiding & showed me to my Mom. Mom picked me up (I didn't like that - I was scared) & she took me to my forever home. My birthday wish is that all kitties & woofies find good forever homes... and I'd like some treats & toys too.

I also share my birthday with Sammy Meezer and with Mom's sister so Happy Birthday to you both.

Family Friday

Hello, my name is Cocoa! I just moved in and I'm new at this blogging thing. Hmmm... Mom said I need to tell you about myself. First off, I am a good girl (Mom told me so), am quite petite (Blackie is bigger than I am), and am around two years old (according to the mean old v-e-t). Mom is hoping to get a better picure but she had to have her nephew hold me because I wouldn't be still for picture. It nice to meet all of you... let me know if anyone wants to know more. Mom is thinking about posting bios on all of us to remind everyone who we all are since she doesn't help blog enough.

Bird TV with Myst

Hi everyone!!! Does anyone (especially Nicky) want to come watch bird TV with me? The bird feeders are right outside the windows & we can watch from table or chairs.

If you have Mom on facebook she posted a picture of the new family member, we stil think we should send it away but she won't let us.

Storms

As many of you know, storms hit Alabama (our state) and other parts of the Southeast US very hard this past week. We and our family are fine - no damage here just some thunderstorms and winds. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people & furries who were affected by the storms.

On another note... we've aquired a new member of family & some of us are plotting to mail it to North Pole (don't tell Mom). We hope to have pictures & updates later.

Note from Jen (AKA Mom) - my sister & family came down from Lacey's Spring (Huntsville, AL area) Thursday because although there wasn't much damage they were out of power for an extended period of time. They just got it back today & went back home. My best friend lost her Dad after extended illness so I will be running up to Rome, GA tonight & again tomorrow for visitation & funeral so I will try to have update on new family member soon. Jade's Gotcha Day

Thank you everyone for the birthday/gotcha day wishes... it is my third gotcha day with Mom but like all good Southern ladies I will not reveal my true age. We haven't fallen off face of earth - Mom just doesn't help post much.
