Floofy Friday with Jade

Hello everyone... I am Jade and as you can tell from one of my first pictures here I'm a floofy Calico. I'm head cat here at Bamacats because I have seniority over all cats (and that dog) that are here now. As head cat, I have to make sure to take care of Mom - I've played nurse kitty when she was sick and I check on her at night making sure she is okay (she isn't always appreciative of my late night checks if I wake her). Mom's sister is coming this weekend. She gave me one of my nicknames so I'd like to know if any of you have any that you are willing to share. Mine is Princess Pretty Paws which I think is quite fitting as I should be recognized as a Princess. PURRSSSSSSSSSSSS........... Jade

Hello everyone! I'm mad at Mom - she forgot my Gotcha Day that was April 17th! I've lived here for 4 years now. This is my story... I had a home but I think I must have gotten lost some way so I found an office where I took a nap. Someone spotted my belly while I napped in bushes and my Mom came out to check on me. They looked and checked to see if someone was looking for me but had no luck so then Mom took me home (she had lost Mia to the Rainbow Bridge about 6 months before). Ghost hissed & fussed at me but I didn't bother her & BG really didn't pay any attention to me. They both have gone to Bridge now too. So now I am head cat here as I have seniority over Myst & Blackie... as you can tell from my picture I am a fluffy Calico with Jade green eyes... I'm very happy that I've found my forever home...many purrs to everyone!

Thank you everyone for the birthday/gotcha day wishes... it is my third gotcha day with Mom but like all good Southern ladies I will not reveal my true age. We haven't fallen off face of earth - Mom just doesn't help post much.

HI!!!! Sorry for no pictures but I won't stay still long enough for Mom to snap a picture... I'm only about 6 months old so I have questions...

1. Why can some bugs fly? I can't catch them when they land on ceiling.
2. Why does Jade hiss at me?
3. Why can't I help cook?
4. Why is there a tree in the living room with door closed?
5. Why am I not allowed to climb it?
6. Why are there socks hanging on wall?
7. Who is this Santa fellow that is suppose to be coming?

One Year

This is the picture that Mom took the day I came here to my forever home. It has been 1 YEAR!!! I can't believe it - I'm very lucky to have found the place I belong. Purrs to all our friends...

I had a request for more pictures of my floofy self! I'm so excited - thanks Grr, Midnight, Cocoa, Riley, Rascal & Max's Mom. Here is my picture for you.

Mom said I don't have a very exciting gotcha story. I wandered up to where Mom works and hid in the bushes. Everyone knows Mom is sucker for cats so she is one who fed me while I was up there. Her and some other people looked for my home but they couldn't find anyone who had lost a Calico so I came home with my Mom to my forever home. Ghost still doesn't like me but BG and I just ignore each other.

Tattle Tail Tuesday with Jade

Hi, I have more questions to answer and some tattles too. Mom has misplaced her camera cord so she can't upload the pictures. I will get her to look tonight to try to find it. Now on to some questions...

1. Is yer tail naturly that floofy or was ya annoyed when yer picture was took?
My tail is naturally floofy

2. How didya get THREE colors furs? We all have perzactly TWO colors.
Just came that way - maybe I got into paint

3. Where did the name "JADE" come from? Ya dont look greenish.
My eyes are very green but none of the pictures show that very well.

Ghost is still all hissy at me. I hiss some at BG but overall we tolerate each other pretty well.

Also today is 4th birthday for our Meezer friend Sammy. We also have a family birthday today. Mom's sister is having her birthday today (she is older than Sammy). Happy Birthday Sammy & Gail!!!

Wordy Wednesday

Answering some of your questions...



ZS&S asked about the woofie. BG AKA Baby Girl came here in 2006. She is a Jack Russell so she isn't very big - see her picture above. We have no idea where she came from - she just showed up. She only barks when she chases the cows or gets mad at evil squeaky toys. She is scared of Ghost because of the scary Ghost HISS!

Parker asked how old I am and we aren't entirely sure of the answer to that. Our best guess is probably between 2 and 3 - Mom said she could be way off cause it has been a long time since she was around younger cats.

Tybalt asked how I was lucky (?) enough to be Ghost's new sister. As much as she has hissed, I'm not sure she thinks it lucky! Mom said the short answer was it was the right time when I showed up.

Hopefully, Mom will be able to get my gotcha story up soon. Thanks to everyone welcoming me. Ya'll are a lot nicer than that grumpy white cat is to me.

Introduction

Happy Memorial Day to all our American friends and a big salute to the troops who gave all serving our great country!

Mom said I had to introduce the brat (oops, Mom gets on to me for calling her that). Anyway, I'm told this is my new sister (I didn't order one - still don't know how I ended up having a d-o-g as a sister either)... She is getting ready to tell you her story or at least the little we know of it. So the brat finally told Mom her name... so here is Jade getting ready to talk to all of you.



Jade can be quite shy so we may have a hard time getting her to talk. Ya'll list any questions you want to answer & that might make her talk faster.
