Sweet Praline (September 25, 1995 - April 25, 2011)

ONLY THE BEST

A heart of gold stopped beating,
two shining eyes at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove,
He only takes the best.

God knows you had to leave us,
but you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you,
the day He took you home.

To some you are forgotten,
to others just part of the past,
but to us who loved and lost you,
the memory will always last.

(Author Unknown)

Until we meet again Praline... we are proud that we can call you a friend & will see you again. Mia, Ghost & BG are sure to be playing with you now.

Purrs to Mom Paula ... thank you for sharing Praline with all of us!

BG (2002 - 10/23/2009)

BG ran off to the Rainbow Bridge on Friday. Her test results were worse than the vet expected so we decided that we couldn't put her thru treatments that wouldn't save her. We'd like to thank everyone for their purrs... We are sure that Ghost & Mia were waiting for her (probably with a HISS from Ghost). We only had just over 3 years with BG but we will never forget her...

We love & miss you Baby Girl...

Jade, Myst & Jen (and rest of human family too)

Pixie

Golden Memories
They say memories are golden, well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no one else could fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane.
I'd walk the path to Heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as we are called back one by one, the chain will link again.

Until we meet again Pixie...

Our thoughts are with Daisy & family... Many purrs to you...

Jasmine

Cat's Prayer

Although I am too proud to beg,
and may appear to be a very independent creature,
I ask for your loving care and attention! I
rely on you for my well being..much more than
you may realize!

This I promise you, my benefactor, that I will
not be a burden on you nor will I demand more of
you than you care to give!

I will be a quiet peaceful island of serenity for
you to gaze upon: a soft soothing body to caress,
and I shall purr with pleasure to rest your
weary ears!

Since I am a gourmet who appreciates different
taste sensations, I pray you will give me a variety
of nutritious foods and fresh water daily!

You know dear friend, how I love to go nap!
Allow me! I pray, a warm sheltered place where
I can rest peacefully and feel secure!

If I am wounded in battle or suffering from
disease, please tend me gently, I pray, and see
that I am treated by loving and competent hands!

Please protect me from the inhuman humans
who would hurt and torture me for their own
amusement! I am accustomed to your gentle
touch and am not always suspicious nor swift
enough to avoid such malicious acts!

In my later years when my senses fail me
and my infirmities become to great to bear,
allow me the comfort and dignity that I
desire for my closing days and help me gently
in my pain or passing!

We know that Jasmine's Mom answered this prayer for her as well as Gizzy & Millie. Wish all our feline relatives would be so lucky as to have happy homes. Until we meet again at the Bridge Jasmine - rest well with Gizzy.

Purrs to Millie, her Mom & Mr Karate....please go visit
Millie & family to give them your purrs

Goodbye, Mama (October 14, 1914 - September 9, 2007)

Mama lost her battle with cancer today. We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and purrayers.... We probably won't be online very much for a while with everything that has been happening.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.

Tribute to Chatham

Our friend Chatham ran to the Rainbow Bridge today at 4:30. He just recently celebrated his 20th birthday. Please think about his Cat Couch, Dad, Twin Girls & Salem as they miss Chatham.

He is Gone

You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone,
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

We will miss you Chatham. Meet you again when our time to cross the Rainbow Bridge comes...

Our Tribute to Suzanne

Our friend Suzanne passed over the Rainbow Bridge today. Please go by her blog to read more about this wonderful girl and let Ben2 & Toni know we are thinking of them. We found this poem a while back & thought it was fitting.

ONLY THE BEST

A heart of gold stopped beating,
two shining eyes at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove,
He only takes the best.

God knows you had to leave us,
but you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you,
the day He took you home.

To some you are forgotten,
to others just part of the past,
but to us who loved and lost you,
the memory will always last.

We miss you Suzanne but will never forget you....
